Certificate earned on May 30, 2017 | Using Python, I implemented various alogirthms that are used in bioinformatics including how to find origin sites where DNA replication begins, how to find different DNA sequences in long strands of DNA, taking into account possible mutations, how to find implanted regions of DNA, greedy motif finding algorithms, and randomized motif finding algorithms. |
The Truth About Cats and Dogs by The University of Edinburgh on Coursera. Certificate earned on May 14, 2017 | A brief, fun class exploring new research on cats and dogs, how they should be kept, and what's best for them. |
Mastering Data Analysis in Excel by Duke University on Coursera. I did not pay for the certificate, but I got 93.8%. |
I learned how a bunch about Excel I didn't know, how to make data models in Excel, and how to maniuplate data from a data analyst's perspective. I also learned a lot about pigeons and sonar. |
Business Metrics for Data Driven Companies by Duke University on Corsera. I did not pay for the certificate , but I got 100%. | Learned about various metrics that companies use and which metrics work best for which type of companies. Learned about the different data type roles in companies. |
Dog Emotion and Cognition by Duke University on Coursera. Certificate earned on October 14, 2015 | A class on how dogs think and how they express their emotions. The class goes along with the book, The Genius of Dogs. |
R Programming by Johns Hopkins University on Coursera. Certificate earned on February 2, 2015 | A brief introduction to R, including installation, basic use, and navigating through/around data sets. |
The Data Scientist’s Toolbox by Johns Hopkins University on Coursera. Certificate earned on February 1, 2015 | This class talks about what data scientists and analysts do and what some of the tools they can use are. |
Emergence of Life by University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on Coursera. Certificate earned on September 7, 2014 | This class was an overview of life on earth, starting with single-cell organisms to modern times. Everything was put into the context of the evolutionary tree of life and what the Earth was like at the time the various groups of life were around. |
